About the band
One big sound
The Great Central Big Band brings together twenty musicians from in and around Brackley, an eclectic bunch with a book of charts to match: swing, Latin, funk, soul, Motown, jazz standards, pop and film themes. We're often joined by fabulous vocalists.
Under MD Lorna Edwards, the band puts on its own Christmas and summer shows, plays the National Trust Summertime Jazz Festival at Upton House every July, and takes on weddings, parties and private events.
